Edinborough Press

Following more than decade as a historical society director, Daniel J. Hoisington founded Edinborough Press in 1992 to publish books on local history. Hoisington is the author of twelve books and numerous journal articles. In 1998 the Minnesota Society of Architectural Historians honored his book, Heritage: Preserving Eden Prairie’s Past, with the David Gebhard Award. His book, A German Town: A History of New Ulm, Minnesota, and his Brown County Historical Society exhibit, Never Shall I Forget: Brown County and the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862, both received awards from the American Association for State and Local History. Recently, he led the team for the Brown County Historical Society exhibit, Loyalty and Dissent: Brown County and World War I.
