Daniel J. Hoisington

The Eden Prairie Heritage Preservation Commission published Heritage: Preserving Eden Prairie's Past to tell about the historic buildings, archeological sites, and landscapes in this rapidly growing suburban community . In addition, the book provided a overview of the Commission's programs and how those efforts worked to preserve that heritage.

This book won the David Gebhard Award for best book on Minnesota architecture from the Minnesota Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians, "in recognition of [Hoisington's] skilful interwining of the personal and the immediate with general historical issues, his sensitivity to contexts such as immigration and cultural history, and his careful setting of an historical framework for the use of preservation tools."

Heritage is not in print at this time.
